The most recent evening ran from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at a private venue on the Halifax waterfront. About 80 people were in the room. Investors, developers, brokers and lenders from across the region came and went over appetizers and drinks, in a room built for conversation: a stand-up mixer, not a seminar. It was hosted by Riley Oickle with the Indi Mortgage Commercial Division team, which presented the evening. Read about the evening.

Recurring meetups
Open investor meetup groups are organized through Meetup, where their dates are posted. In Halifax and Dartmouth: Halifax - Real Estate Investors, Halifax Real Estate, which runs a monthly Halifax Real Estate Meetup, and The HRM Real Estate Investor Group. In Moncton: the free Moncton Real Estate Investor meetup, usually on the first Tuesday of the month. On Prince Edward Island: the Prince Edward Island Real Estate group.
Events outside Halifax
Commercial Group Canada's own evenings are held in Halifax only. Members in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador take part through the members' deal room and travel in for the evenings. Events in other cities appear in the calendar above when another organization runs them.

When is the next Commercial Group Canada evening?
The date has not been announced. Approved members get first notice of every evening, and this page is updated as soon as a date is set. Three to four evenings are planned each year.

At a private venue on the Halifax waterfront in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The exact address is sent by email and text only once your place is confirmed.
What happens at a Commercial Group Canada evening?
It is a stand-up evening of conversation over appetizers and drinks. You come and go as you please. The room is built primarily for commercial real estate investors and owners, with a limited number of developers, lenders, brokers and other professionals. The most recent evening, on 29 September 2026, had about 80 people in the room.
Who can attend?
Attendance is by invitation, confirmed in advance. Apply to join and your request is reviewed for relevance and fit and against the venue's capacity, with a reply within 3 to 5 business days.
Is there a fee to join?
No. There are no fees. The group is sponsored by Indi Mortgage Commercial Division.

Requests are reviewed individually. If there is someone you think belongs in the room, reply to your confirmation email and we will consider them for this or a future evening.
Does Commercial Group Canada hold events outside Halifax?
No. Members come from all four Atlantic provinces, but the in-person evenings are held in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
What conferences and events do commercial real estate investors attend in Atlantic Canada?
The main ones are the Atlantic Real Estate Forum, held each year at the Halifax Convention Centre (next on 17 March 2027), and the events run by BOMA Nova Scotia, the Urban Development Institute of Nova Scotia and the rental housing provider associations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Dated entries are in the calendar on this page. Commercial Group Canada's own invite-only evenings in Halifax run three to four times a year.
What is an invite-only real estate mixer?
A private networking evening where attendance is by confirmed invitation. At Commercial Group Canada, every request is reviewed so that the room stays relevant: primarily investors and owners, with a limited number of professionals.
